To all my friends in Tlalim, I've no words to express my deepest thanks and appreciation for all that you have done and are still doing for me. Thanks to you I don't feel "stupid" in my class when I'm coming back from another stay in the hospital that caused me to miss school. Thanks to you, I met a few dear people. The girl from the National Service helped me and made me feel good. The teacher who came to my home was not only my teacher, but a friend. And, I want to thank the Communications teacher ( in the virtual school) who I feel very close although we never met. You are bringing souls alive with your work.
Yours truly, Dear Friends, First, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support and encouragement that Tlalim gave me. As soon as I was back home after two difficult head surgeries, I received wonderful assistance from the teacher who came to my home to support me. On top of this, I have learned a lot by using the computer with internet service and video conferencing, which you are paying for. Tlalim helped me in difficult hours, which were many. Thanks to Tlalim, I could participate in this year's matriculation tests for six subjects. My teacher who comes 4-5 hours a week fought for me in school to get all the assistance and benefits I need. During the year, I hardly visited school because of my poor physical and mental situation. I was worried about the gaps in my academic achievement caused by my ongoing illness. The intensive help I received from Tlalim enabled me to make up what I missed in school. I was able to pass my tests and succeed. I'm happy to share with you that I received a special award from my school saying I was a good student. I can't wait until next year when I will complete my exams. I know I can do it with Tlalim's assistance. These days I'm joining a new project called the Tlalim Virtual School. Under this framework, it was possible for me to work on the internet for no charge. The internet has opened up a window to a wider world for me. I want to add that although I did my matriculation in English, I'm very happy to continue learning with Irit through video conferencing and to expand my knowledge of English. I believe that Tlalim gives people the power to come back to a normal life when you are on the isolated and pessimistic side of the world. Thank you to all the Tlalim staff. Your help proved to me how strong I can be. I hope that other people like me will get all the help and support they need to get their life back.
Thank you, Dear Friends: The Tlalim program has been very important to me since I was injured in a terror attack. I have not been able to attend school since. Thanks to Tlalim, I have been able to study at home. The tutors you have sent me have been very helpful, and I have learned a lot from the video conferences on the computer. With your help, I have been able to keep up on my school work, and I have passed a number of matriculation exams. I am very grateful for Tlalim's help, which has picked up my spirits during a difficult time and will make it possible to stay in the same class as my friends when I return to school.
Regards, Dear Dr. Peled, Tlalim was the light at the end of the tunnel on the way to my daughter Hilla's recovery. I want to thank all the teaching staff that helped support my daughter during the tough times she had during the two years she stayed home. Hilla suffered from a sickness that caused her extreme pain during a long period of time. As my daughter's body and soul were about to collapse, you provided a light of hope in the tunnel of darkness. The teacher from Tlalim came with a smile and the will to support her, to listen, to encourage, to do everything possible to close the academic gap caused by her inability to attend school. Just to put a smile on my child's lips in those difficult days was the biggest gift of all. The teacher gave my daughter warmth, love and learning. She combined all this with wonderful conversations, health tips and a deep understanding for any difficulties and medical problems that my daughter was experiencing. She was so grateful for receiving help from her math and English teachers, and for getting the interactive lessons through the computer. Hilla developed great friendships with the teachers who came to the house. I would like to thank everyone at Tlalim for the understanding attitude, devotion, love and care they showed - not to mention the professional way they taught my daughter - whose every need was met. Like a jewel in a crown, there was you, Dr. Liora Peled, who worked behind the scenes to arrange everything. She gave above and beyond the call of duty to make my daughter's life as easy as possible. I want to praise the extremely valuable Tlalim program that does so much to rehabilitate and support sick children.
Sincerely,
