Tlalim renders free learning support to all school pupils, throughout Israel, that are absent from class due to illness or accident. The duration of this support lasts during the whole period of the pupil's illness from a few weeks to a few months, and in instances, years. Tlalim's activity concentrates on the effort to help the pupil proceed with his learning and improve his chances to revert to regular studies in his class when recovered. Since inception in 1990 Tlalim founded an elaborated educational network: our teachers visit every home in Israel where learning support for the sick pupil is requested. The learning is accompanied by computers and by other relevant electronic technologies supplied by Tlalim free of charge. We believe that learning has its curing effects on the sick pupil like medication and medical treatment. The learning generates a source of strength, of courage, and of hope. The learning enables the pupil to proceed along a healthy route in spite of his illness, preparing him to join his mates upon recovery. Tlalim's Learning Kit Tlalim's syllabus is adjusted to each individual pupil according to his learning assignments in a manner that enables him to express his capacities, to make progress in his learning, and to stimulate his motivations in spite of pain and stress. The learning kit supplied to the pupil's home by Tlalim free of charge. The learning kit includes: - Computers and learning material - Individual Distant Learning lessons with Tlalim's professional teachers. - An electronic communication system that enables the pupil at home to join his - school class, to listen to the teacher's lesson on real time, and to communicate - with his mates. - Courses in Tlalim's virtual school. Adopt a Tlalim pupil struggling during his illness, and enrich his learning kit. Adopt a bedridden student Tlalim's Virtual School Tlalim's Virtual School is a unique solution for remote learning, operates effectively for the benefit of the bedridden pupils. Sick pupils are inclined to suffer from a sense of loneliness often accompanied by depression and helplessness. The departure from their school class and their mates, affects their vitality and may slow the process of their recovery. The solution was found in third millennium technology - Tlalim established a virtual school to substitute for the classroom and schoolyard connecting the sick pupil to the healthy aspect of life. The communication in the virtual school is completely interactive. Pupils hear the teachers, respond, and participate in conversations. Learning with a group of bedrriden students creates an atmosphere of belonging and of mutual support. For housebound children, the virtual classroom is real, effective and vital.
